On Thursday 24 September 2026, BISSESSUR received a select group of guests at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk for an afternoon on Wealth Planning and Wealth Optimisation in a Dutch-Swiss Setting. The afternoon was hosted by Prenobe Bissessur from our Amsterdam/Schiphol office and Jouke Brada from our Zurich office.
Four perspectives, one conversation
Private wealth with a Dutch and a Swiss component raises questions that cut across disciplines: how a structure is built, how it is held, how it is passed on and how it is taxed. Rather than addressing these in separate meetings, we invited our friends from Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law, EJS Tax & Consulting B.V. and Vontobel to share the stage.
Pieter Jansen from Vontobel opened the substantive part of the afternoon with insights into the global economy and market outlook. Edwin Jeanty van der Spek and John Linders of EJS Tax & Consulting B.V. then set out the Dutch tax dimension, followed by Remo Keller and Karen Gisler of Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law, Zurich, on the Swiss legal and fiscal framework. Prenobe Bissessur addressed the Dutch corporate law aspects before moderating a panel discussion with questions from the floor. Jouke Brada from our Zurich office closed with practical experience.
Candid questions, practical answers
The afternoon was deliberately kept small, so that questions could be asked openly and answered in plain terms: the merits, the limitations, the costs and the practical steps. The conversation continued over drinks at the Petit Latour Champagne Bar, giving guests the opportunity to speak with each of the speakers individually.
With thanks
We are grateful to our friends at Pestalozzi, EJS Tax & Consulting and Vontobel for their contributions, to our guests for their trust and engagement, and to Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin for their hospitality.
